Happy 100th anniversary to the United Church of Canada. In Peel, this saw Methodist, Congregational, and some Presbyterian churches unite. #UCCan100

In 1894 a young girl memorialized her visit to the site of the Battle of Queenston Heights. Major-General Sir Isaac Brock died in this 1812 victory against invading Americans which helped establish Canadian self-identity.

The #Toronto Suburban Railway stretched from Keele and Dundas to #Guelph, straight through Peel, including parts of #Mississauga and #Brampton. Here's one of their vehicles going over the Humber River.
