specifically - hitting a))) launches all of the (((a nodes, the core problem ends up being you can no longer reason about the order your code will run in and you can very quickly end up in bug hell

actually, they are just BP variables. The "a)))/b)))" nodes here are just set nodes in BP and the "(((a/(((b" nodes are get nodes.

If you click on the C9 in the box in the upper left you can give the cell a name and then refer to that cell by name in formulas.
The *real* wizardry I've learned recently is using LET statements in formulas :D Makes things WAY more parseable

saw a couple caves of qud sprite misinterpretation posts on reddit and it reminded me how funny it was to misinterpret what a sprite is for years and then finally realize it. For me, emperor gestahl from ff6 stands out - i thin it was "a thing" based on the minion they added to 16 lol

Something striking to me about how wildly differently China and the US are viewed - when was the last time a series of protests ended with a meaningful re-evaluation and change in government policy in the US? I think the FF Pixel Remaster is certainly not perfect but it's so much better than anything we've seen out of like 90% of 2d game remakes that it's genuinely a breath of fresh air. If you can manage to look past the fonts this looks really good imo.

If you have super smooth curves, like on the edge of his arm against the background, but then a really chunky outline like on the sword, it's gonna give the "pixel scaler look" and people are gonna hate it.
