I left the biggest voluntary donation ever at Bristol Cathedral a) because it was voluntary and b) they had the most gorgeous welcome message by the door. I loved my visit there and their whole approach to their slavery connections was just perfect

There's a difference. Those on the right accuse the BBC of bias and want to weaken and ultimately get rid of it; those on the left want it to be stronger and more independent.

That's what's always been said; and many folk for a long while took it as read.
But it's shown itself far from impartial or independent in recent years, leaning silently but consistently to a right-of-centre framing at every turn. Brexit / Gaza / gender / climate. We need the BBC to be more robust.
