If you think there’s no science or sorcery behind fitting a card, 3 little jesuses, 2 red noses & 2 night lights then you are mistaken! I’m sending them to folks who haven’t been able to be in-person this Advent and WHILE SUPPLIES LAST I'll send you a Judson Church Advent Whimsy Package too!

it would take Bob Cratchit a full day's wage to go see a Saturday performance about his life at the Guthrie

Will Charlie Brown find the joy he deserves this morning at Judson Church? Yes! The skit rehearsal was fabulous. The choir has yet to practice Christmas Time Is Here (so they may be off key, crossed🤞). & I feel pretty good about my sermon
See y'all at 9:30am

I just finished my sermon, The Joy Charlie Brown Deserved - it's not good enough to displace The Munsters (like the original A Charlie Brown Christmas) but I think it pretty good! I think you're gonna like it.

my un-uber ride this morning was on time, warm, pleasant and dropped me off just a couple of blocks from my house (ensuring privacy). I'd give my driver ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. thanks @metrotransitmn.bsky.social

(on another platform) @blindeke.bsky.social once said the best thing you can do during a snowstorm is go to your nearest bar, so I did & worked on a Xmas gift for the kids: my advice book for them
it begins with/ "everybody's a dumbass about something, but rarely a dumbass about everything"

Happy first Sunday of Advent
Happy first Sunday of winter biking to church to all who celebrate.

The storm and holidays kept many at home but what a wonderful day at Judson Church, maybe the best in years.

When I preach an inclusive and expansive love at Judson Memorial Baptist Church people clap and say Hallelujah (well, they clap). And yet the struggle to purge the image of God as a judgmental angry dude is real.

It’s Sunday afternoon around 2pm, I stopped by the church to get a book. as i passed through the sanctuary I had to pause and honor the moment because i could still feel the prayers, laments, tears and hopes from this morning.

In the middle of a blizzard about 10 years ago…I waited and waited and waited for the 21 bus. When the bus arrived and the doors I opened I asked the driver, “Do you think you’ll be able to make it?”

The driver replied, “Climb in brother and I’ll get you home!”

You were a great route, 🙏
