I went cycling from home to downtown on my trusty Trek FX. It was lovely. I also tried my new Jack handlebar rack. It was easy to install and pretty secure. I might add a small basket to it later. I do like having some weight up front rather than only over the real wheel. #bicycle #bikecommuter

10.2 miles on my mountain bike. TBH I'm more of a flat bar roadbike and pavement lady. Faster. No rocks to throw off your balance. But then there are cars. Fortunately a lot of Austin has bike lanes. Though not always quality (i.e. protected) ones. #bicycle #mountainbike #cyclistsofbluesky

My purple underused mountain bike (Trek Marlin 5) which I took with me to northern New Mexico (mostly Santa Fe). I finallv made her more comfortable by cutting down the handle bars, adding comfier grips with a side grip, and cushier seat. Much better now. #bicycle #mountainbike #santafe #newmexico

Doing a #WeekWithoutDriving. I got around by bike. It was overall fine but plenty of streets need protected bike lanes. Hell, even the flex posts would make me feel safer. It's something to keep drivers from getting too close. #WeekWithoutDrivingATX

The good thing about going by bike to get some dinner was that I got to see this mural along someone's yard. The bad thing is that it's a wildly inaccurate depiction of the Austin and surrounding landscape. This ain't Nevada! #gobybike #bikecommute #muralart #atx
