ABC's 7.30 in Nov asserted falsely that poverty in Australia was worsening under the Albanese Govt. The segment failed to disclose that the appalling research findings it presented were collected several years before #Labor took office.

Feeble defence from ABC confirms abject failure to report Labor accurately
A recent interview on ABC was the subject of a formal complaint. The official response from the national broadcaster is even more problematic.

This election the old way of doing things is done.
It’s time for the Era of Independence.

● Ending the siege on income-taxed Australians.
● Universal early childhood education & care.
● A full commitment to the renewable energy transition.
● A national housing accord.
● No more gambling ads.

Tesla earned $2.3 billion in the United States in 2024.

You'd think it paid a lot in taxes, right?

Well it paid precisely $0 in federal income taxes last year.

You want waste and fraud? Look at what some big corporations and the rich are getting away with.
Tesla Paid Zero Federal Income Tax in 2024, Despite $2.3 Billion in Income
This brings Tesla’s average tax rate over the past three years to 0.4 percent.

Ahh love the "we have a gas shortage" stories.

Nope, foreign gas companies just prefer to sell Australia's gas overseas for more profit.

(they also pay bugger all tax, and barely any royalties)

The answer to why Australia might soon be importing gas is that gas companies are exporting around 35 times more gas than any projected "shortage".

Australia does not have a gas shortage. 80% of Australia's gas goes overseas.

Donors to Trump's inaugural fund:

- OpenAI CEO Sam Altman: $1M
- Amazon: $1M
- Meta: $1M
- Uber & its CEO Dara Khosrowshahi: $1M each
- Apple CEO Tim Cook: $1M

This is chump change to the tech oligarchs, but it sends a clear message that they will do Trump's bidding.
Donald Trump's inaugural fund is getting almost $150 million. Here are some of its donors

Anthony Albanese has called for fixed four year terms. Makes sense to me.
