The system isn’t built for any of us. Class solidarity is a must.

We the People, against the corruption of Richard Nixon, decided that the Earth needed our help. We the People created the major environmental legislation and policies that improved life. We can't pause in the face of more corruption. We must stop burning fossil fuels and restore Earth's diversity. 1

In theory, we should prefer the latter. The role of government should be the "big thing" that can impose checks on other "big things" like corporations on behalf of us "little things" that come together to form it.

But, we have lost it. (The) People no longer have meaningful input to the government

Honestly doesn't matter if someone else buys it they'll just ruin it like Meta and Twitter. I mean after red note we've seen how much higher the standard of living is in China. The US propaganda on China has finally been exposed at least

At least the China gov doesn't hide what they are. I respect people who let me know they are going to stab me over the ones that act friendly and then backstabs you ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Algorithm based social media needs to become obsolete. Bluesky is the first step.

I wonder what happens when the tech bros and oligarchs can’t control social media.

They will fight back.

After Donald Trump brings back TikTok, which he and Republicans banned, he is going to ban and bring back McDonald’s, Diet Coke, Chick-fil-A, Bud Light, Keurig machines, Nike sneakers, Starbucks, Oreos, Disney movies, and maybe even the Bible – just to make his base cheer for him twice as hard.

There are so many things I would ban before TikTok, including SUVs and assault weapons…

Well, the dollars, the dopamine, the egos won. The silence from top influencers was deafening, and the rush back to Meta’s embrace by others? Heartbreaking. TikTok’s fate aside, one thing’s clear: we all just learned a hard lesson about platforms and loyalty. Actions speak so loud.

the TikTok algorithm is so good that it even served up the perfect video to act as the background for its ban announcement

might be good to remember that banning TikTok was Trump's idea in the first place
