Whew, I'm making a lot of progress!

I think I'll set up an insect haven in the very back of the yard with the finer mulch and whatever twigs I don't use for crafting things. 🐜🪲

There is a nearby farm with goats that love leaves, so now I shall sweep up some goat food. 🐐

Slow and steady since I've got physical limitations, but a little progress each day adds up. 🍂

They got a good bath and love their heated kitten cave!

I finally was able to catch Cheddar for his neuter! Poor guy knows when he's being corralled and he put up a fight. 😭

I will have to do some re-socializing when he comes home. 💔

I learned a bit about lemongrass today when I harvested one of my 4! 🌱

We get frost here, so I doubt it will survive winter. So I took all the stalks, even the teeny ones since I know I could use those for crafts.

I will have LOTS of lemongrass leaves for tea. So much tea! 💚

My landlord found a kitten!

They get food and snuggles tonight, and I'll be contacting the shelter tomorrow to get them in and see if I can foster them, too. ❤️

My foster kittens were adopted! Now I have welcomed Cheddar in as my next foster baby.

He went from spicy hissing to purring and cuddling with me in bed at night in 2 days. 🤣

He's still skittish during the day, but we can work with that. 🥰

a close look at a panicle of small white composite flowers, each with around a dozen small white disk florets, but no ray florets. the disks have five pointed lobes, spreading into an classic star shape, and a long, white, split style. within the corolla tube of the disks, the style is collared by a fused ring of cream white anthers. the top of a branching green stem, each branch terminating in a flat-topped panicle of flowerheads composed of many small white florets with five pointed lobes & a long bifurcated style. a white snakeroot growing in damp soil nearby a creek with a host of other green leaves plants thriving despite the drought. the snakeroot is a little over knee-high and sports broad, opposite green leaves on long petioles. at the top on the stem, there are a few short branches growing in pairs from the axils of some of the upper leaves. thise along with the main stem, terminate in panicles of small white flowers.
