Holding off the existential dread with cats, bunnies and Bob Dylan.
I take your puking cat and raise you a 16yr old boy who drank two bottles of his grandfathers Merlot while we were all distracted with Thanksgiving and then puked putrid red vomit all over the carpet and curtains and wall before sleeping on the kitchen floor for an hour and then puking there too.

I thought the rock was about to be abducted by aliens. Lol.

The Boston bus!! I never actually took it but passed it in the highway many times.

You could almost imagine someone answering that reporter with “it’s not the question I mind but your attitude”.

An evolutionary journey so perfect it almost makes me believe in intelligent design.

There bit where Hugh is a school boy who has written a poem and Fry is speaking about it made me laugh so hard I thought I might actually stop breathing entirely. The kind of laughter that hurts and makes your body go weak and helpless.

I didn’t know about Finland. Interesting. Although I would still argue trying to use the swastika in the modern West and not have it taken as as a symbol of hate would be risky.

They mean different thing depending on which direction they go. One way is like good fortune and the other (at least in Hindu tradition) is associated with Kali I think. I’m no expert just a reader. Neither direction is bad though.

Ironically the swastika is Sanskrit for well being or fortune & predates Hitler’s use. Before WWII Rudyard Kipling stamped or embossed all his books with a swastika as a good luck symbol. In the Western world there is however no modern use of the symbol that is not hateful and evil.

Wait, so his argument is that all this time he’s been protecting democrat pedophiles instead of republican pedophiles? Human beings don’t care what word you put in front of pedophiles, is the pedophile part that matters! And every single one of them should spend the rest of their lives in prison!

It so weird. He is signing a bill to make himself do something. I keep trying to think up a good meteorite for what this is like but it’s too baffling. Is he going to pretend that the DOJ has been responsible for not releasing the files alone? I’m still skeptical we will see them anytime soon.

The symbolism of raiding churches for immigrants as they celebrate the story of an immigrant couple traveling to find a safe place to have their baby is pretty stark. Especially for an administration that is linked to Christian nationalism. Gives Dreaming of a white Christmas a new meaning I guess.

I think this is highly likely.

She was quite amazing actually. People don’t always react so quickly even if they want to be protective of someone. I am really impressed by her.

That was deeply depressing to read through. My husband of 26 years is a lovely and kind man but after reading those comments I kind of want all men to spontaneously combust. Also congratulations on your accomplishment! It’s a big deal and you must have worked very hard!

That is a very fancy cat dish! Is that hand made pottery? I thought I pampered my cats...

When we were fostering for the humane society we had in our care a tiny kitten that had been shot by someone with a BB gun. The wound kept opening. I nursed her to health and she stayed with us. She is my constant companion now. I don’t understand how anyone could ever hurt an animal for pleasure.

I had never heard they might be axes. Interesting. I suppose at some time Cornwall was wooded, but hard to imagine axes being important enough to inscribe on stone in the countryside the way it looks today.
