Except for smallpox all of these vaccines were 20th c. inventions—all post WW 2, if I recall correctly. The vax for measles, the biggest killer below, was only licensed (in the US) in 1963.

The hard-won victory over childhood infectious disease is recent, and seemingly, about to be betrayed.
