Imperial ambitions.
TAPPER: Can you rule out the US is going to take Greenland by force?

MILLER: Greenland should be part of the US. By what right does Denmark assert control over Greenland? The US is the power of NATO

T: So force is on the table?

M: Nobody is gonna fight the US militarily over future of Greenland

Has American become a pirate state? We will go around seizing a nation’s leaders and then taking their resources?
Watch this. Watch again.

"This incredible thing last night... We have to do it again [in other countries]. We can do it again, too. Nobody can stop us."

And the specific plan which would actually lower healthcare costs is where?
FOX: What is the Republican plan to provide an alternative to the ACA?

REP. JASON SMITH: The difference Republicans and Democrats is Democrats are focused on 7% of the population. Republicans are focused on creating more choice and lowering healthcare costs for every single American.

Creepy. This happened when Bill Barr was AG. Why was the Dept of Justice apparently surveilling a journalist covering the Jeffrey Epstein case?

An older article that details the war in Ukraine as a result of Russia invading the country in early 2022. It highlights the evolving negotiations and what has been proposed. Obviously the history has continued on from when this piece was first published in April 2025.

No probable cause of a crime. Just the systematic abuse of American citizens based on immoral and evil judgments that is rooted in someone’s appearance.

All enabled by some of the most powerful governing bodies in our country.
This is the world Justice Kavanaugh sanctioned in his foolish & unnecessary concurring opinion to the Court’s order in Noem v Vasquez Perdomo. His hopes of cleaning up that blunder with a plaintive footnote in last week’s concurring opinion in Trump v. Illinois, demonstrates his staggering naïveté.
"'I have my ID!' Mubashir shouted repeatedly, as heard on the video. The agents do not respond."

My favorite of Reiner’s (that I have seen).
Currently watching Stand By Me. A perfect film. One of several by Reiner.

Welcome to the new people on BlueSky.
Migration here still about 3* the recent normal. Nothing like the post Trump Nov 2024 migration, when it got to 10 per second [currently 0.6 per second]. But still persistently faster than the last few months.

Munich is a masterpiece. By far, Spielberg’s most gutsy and controversial film. It is brilliant and challenging. I’m glad it got made.
Today is the 20th anniversary of the release of Munich, the first movie my husband wrote for Steven Spielberg and a film I still can't believe got made. I am obviously biased but...just watch it. I genuinely don't think it could be done now.

🧵 Interesting SCOTUS analysis.
SCOTUS majority: "[T]he Government has failed to identify a source of authority that would allow the military to execute the laws in Illinois."

Trump cannot deploy National Guard to Illinois to supposedly "protect federal personnel and property."

1 - the exec branch can't decline to spend $ Congress appropriated

2- the fed govt can't use federal $ to extort states over policy/political disagreements

3-the fed govt can't use federal $ to impose conditions unrelated to the funding program

4-the fed govt can't use federal $ to coerce states
Sean Duffy on blue states: "What I can do is I can pull their money. That's the leverage I do have ... I guarantee you that the federal taxpayer is not going to fund their roads and bridges and their systems when they are putting illegals on the roads."

Bari Weiss spiked the CECOT story because she wanted to have Stephen Miller included and demanded to control the language 60 Minutes used to describe the men who were brutally tortured after being sent to El Salvador without due process.
