The statistics are shocking: 14 million people displaced, most children out of school, malaria and cholera. But, as I write in the article, "no statistics can express the sense of pointlessness, of meaninglessness, that the war has left behind alongside the physical destruction."

It’s a worldview that treats evidence-based investigation as propaganda, while accepting conspiratorial claims as critical insight. That’s not anti-imperialism. It’s epistemic nihilism, where facts are suspicious unless they support your preferred side.
