It's not a no-fly, it restricts general non-commercial civil aviation

For instance: just last year Russia attempted to assassinate the CEO of one of the largest arms manufacturers on the continent. For this transgression, the EU did absolutely nothing (to be fair, their "retaliation" was probably baked into a lethal aid package/intel dump to Ukraine, but still).

In many ways, this exact scenario is already playing out in a very low intensity covert war that Russia has been waging on the EU for at least several years. One side (Russia) is sabotaging military targets and the other (EU) is, so far, too scared to escalate it by retaliating. But it's here.

I mean, come on. All the hospital visits, the secrecy around his medical history, his diet and weight at his age. The mental decline is there, and it's noticeable if you go back and watch 2016 campaign footage. The writing might be on the gold-plated walls.

I really don't care if this comes across as naive optimism, but I genuinely believe that at some point in the last month we hit an inflection point that broke in our favor. Something changed to get us here. I have no idea what, maybe Epstein, but something happened and it's about damn time.

Tapper made it his life's mission to push the idea that Biden had alzheimer's but hasn't given Trump's obvious mental decline (and outright insanity) nearly the same treatment. It's horrid journalism and it makes him a hack.

"One of the few good journalists"

Lol well, now that I know you're playing solitaire with a deck that's a few cards short, I can go on with my day. The problem isn't that he reported on Biden. It's that he doesn't give a shit that the same is true of Trump.

Counterpoint: the numerous failings of the media, including Jake Tapper, are a large part of the reason we are where we are. So, yeah, Jake is the problem.

Watching big parts of the online left react to Ukraine with, at best, shrugging and going "not my problem" was a pretty massive blackpill event ngl

Hey, Jake, maybe you could write a book about how the president is doing war crimes in international waters off the coast of the mainland US? I know it's not as sexy as "the president is old," but the complete collapse of the rules-based international order is probably a story worth telling.

This administration is cancerous.

Exactly. No matter what your assessment of drug smuggling and cartel operations is, there's no world where you can just extrajudicially execute random people on civilian vessels. I think that is a big enough deal in and of itself to ensure it doesn't become normalized in the media and public eye.

Every single member of Congress had some idea that what the Trump administration was doing in the Caribbean was illegal (see: Rand Paul). They knew that heinous shit was going on two months ago. The primary difference now is that Trump is losing his grip on the GOP. Will be interesting 6 months.
