Our ICES WGFBIT meeting has completed for this year. Next we will be working on manuscript on a Europe-wide assessment of trawling impacts on broad-scale habitats.

We even had a bit of time to take a few samples, and lots of sauna visits and icy walks.

We’re just learning how a huge biomass of fish in the ocean’s twilight zone can help sequester carbon. It seems like a bad time for a new fishery.
