Withholding billions in school funding—money that was meant for academic enrichment, after-school programs, and more—is absurd and cruel. Our schools need MORE funding, not LESS.

This is an abuse of taxpayers' money and an abandonment of our students.

Look at our beautiful, diverse community in CCPS! 💜 The CCPS ELD Program ESOL Community Night brings together more than 500 multilingual families to get access to academic, county, and district resources to help our children thrive. It’s just a wonderful event & brings me so much joy.

But here’s what I know: No matter what happens, parents will continue to stand up for what’s right, for the policies that truly serve our kids, and for the accountability our leaders owe us.

The chaos I know is coming today feels so surreal. As a parent, an advocate, and someone who will always fight for our children, I can already feel the weight of the decisions being made behind closed doors. The uncertainty, the frustration, and the danger this puts us all in—it’s exhausting.

Breaking news. As a parent, I’m deeply concerned about the House’s plan to cut trillions from vital programs like Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid—lifelines for our families, children, and seniors.

House Republicans are pushing for deep cuts to Medicaid & SNAP, despite the fact that millions of families, children, & seniors in Republican-led districts depend on this support to afford food & healthcare. Read about how these proposed cuts would impact the very people they claim to represent.

As we manage fevers, medicine, & chills, a reminder that public health isn’t a game—it affects every single one of us, especially our children. Decisions made by people who have no real experience in healthcare will have real consequences.

It was never about ensuring that migrants and immigrants obtain legal citizenship; if it were, we would add more judges to address the backlog of cases instead of firing judges. This was always about denying people the basic human right to migrate.
