While on holiday in Devon on 19th June I was walking through Berry Head NR and saw this beauty of a Bee-eater. It was perched up in a tree close to the path. A first for me and a real surprise!!

Spent a couple of hours on my Uplands patch today. Males on two different territories but no females around. The Kestrel was watching proceedings as well from his high perch.

Another Dawn, A new Day, New Challenges, but the same feeling of inspiration. Followed by a walk on the wild side with good friends.

This was a visit to Portishead with my good friend Blair Jones to see Purple Sandpipers. It is a trip we have done several times in the past and this trip didn't disappoint us.
