We are so sad to hear of the death of Tony Harrison. His work combines inspired poetic flight with demotic energy and a mastery of form. A towering figure, Faber has been publishing his work for stage and screen for over forty years. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.

There are things that break you as a poet and writer. Often you can’t even mention them. All you can do is go back to the work, the writing process will help you survive, go back & every single improvement will help to save you, keep going, the art is what matters, not the rest.

⚠️ Pontypridd has been hit by devastating floods and our wonderful independent bookshop, Storyville Books, has seen much of its stock destroyed.

If you’re able to buy a book from them, this would go such a long way to help support them rebuild in the aftermath.
