The Region of Waterloo is buying up farmland and threatening some farmers with expropriation, following the Doug Ford government's push for industrial land. The Narwhal, in collaboration with The Waterloo Record, has learned the site is for a future Toyota plant.

For all my Kitchener Waterloo people, the province is taking away waterloo regions planning responsibility in January. Easy change to miss.
That means the countryside line will have to be enforced by every township separately. Regional planning will become more difficult.
