Telus has announced it is partnering with Nvidia to build an ‘AI Factory’ in Quebec, Canada.

According to the Canadian telco, it is the first North American service provider to become an official Nvidia cloud partner.

Canada just announced a plan to spend up to CAD $2B over five years to build out sovereign AI infra. $700M for private partnerships, $1B to build AI infra, and $300M to subsidize costs on existing private infra.

Bold move. US is dragging its feet by comparison.
