I've always been left wing. In my youth, sexanddrugsandrocknroll which became wine women and song. Now I enjoy listening to The Fish Fry while sipping an occasional glass of wine (ideally a Tasmanian pinot or a riesling from Eden Valley).

After 18 months of operation and a cost of $140 million to Australians, the staggeringly incompetent NACC has concluded its top 3 major corruption investigations, and guess what?

It has found no corruption.

The #NACC is a failure and a national embarrassment.

During our Black Summer, more than 1,000 people came from North America to assist in firefighting efforts.

The overlap in fire seasons in both hemispheres has huge implications for how we fight fire.

Australia needs its own fleet of Large Air Tankers (LATs).

Fire seasons around the world are starting to overlap. This may leave Australia on its own
Experts say Australia can no longer rely on northern hemisphere nations for water-bombing aircraft and firefighters during our summer.

As we all know, it is WELL PAST time!!
When there are school shootings, Republicans say, “Now’s not the time to talk about gun safety—lives were just lost.”

When blue states face disasters, including thousands of people losing homes to devastating fires, Trump wastes no time slamming them, driven purely by spite!

Must watch…

This is the problem with the reporting on education and how it is interpreted. Many many people (like me) send/ sent their kids to local state schools that may be underfunded but that provide a great education. We need to fight for fair funding AND pride in public education.
Please be mindful that you may simply be convincing anxious parents that they really must send their kids to private school, that spending really is a proxy for educational quality, and that public schools really are dysfunctional.

The time has come to get rid of all prayers and mentions of a god in all forms of government. Allowing religious organisations to claim charity status is another thing that needs addressing urgently. Many offer no form of charitable work at all, just accumulating wealth and power for the hierarchy.

In Australia its a cheaper to cause an oil spill than to get a nursing degree

In Norway they tax their oil industry and give kids free degrees while in Australia we subsidise the oil industry and charge kids a fortune to go to uni

Priorities matter
Accused by a whistleblower of covering up an oil spill that killed dolphins and sea snakes, Santos get fined just $10k 🤯

Santos spends up to $US3.3m per year on a private jet for their executives so I don’t think AUD10k is going to hurt them.
