I made some scones with cheddar cheese and seaweed filling. They are very nice with a bacon rasher or a poached egg. Just what is needed today.

I know @tvaziri.com loves a good Texas switch and the new Wallace and Gromit has a great one.

I know in Irish airport security, you can't have your phone out when going through security. I assumed this was how it was done pretty much everywhere. I guess that's one up for us.
Just found out about the aesthetic airport security tray pic trend and I'm ready to end it all

For people outside Ireland unfamiliar with the Wren boys, it's one of the most Bloodborne things we have on this island
The Wren is still strong in parts of Ireland, notably Kerry, with elements entwined with nature and the old pagan roots of this time of year.

I see people asking how Nolan is going to do all the mad effects in the Odyssey, when we all know that a good third of the film will be him at dinner making up mad stories on the spot so he can score a free ship home

Few people know that they put the sweet descriptions on the outside of the Quality Street box as an anti piracy measure.

Watching the first episode of Skeleton Crew on Disney and this is my reaction to the elephant kid...

Recently rewatched for the first time in ages and I just could not jive with it. I feel like it squanders a lot of interesting things and everything outside of the main cast feels hollow. It's a shame because it has so many elements that work for me but a few missteps bring the whole thing down.
The Last Jedi was released 7 years ago today.

I chuckle to myself when I think that when I left the theater, I thought this movie would be absolutely adored by the fandom. Or at least that people would be normal about what is just a movie. In any case, it remains my favorite SW movie in decades.

@ooc-noah-gervais.bsky.social I think I spent more minutes listening to Noah this year than I ever listened to my mother in my entire life. When I die, he will be telling me to press W to step into the light.

Sometimes you will be waiting in a doctor's office and the person next to you will have their phone notifications on full blast so it goes off every 15 seconds with WhatsApp and IM's or whatever and it distracts me so much I have to wonder if their synapses are like a gas stove that refuses to light

That Dune Prophecy show, I disassociated for a sec and thought I was watching Handmaid's Tale, HOTD, Foundation, Raised By Wolves and somehow a Warhammer TV show. Just keep away from the younger Herbert and Kev J Anderson stuff. I really like the Dune universe but such a shame.

That Penguin ending. Not exactly surprising how a lot of it shook out, but still somehow shocking to see.

I knew nothing about this guy except that he had angered the population of several countries and wondered why he had made them so angry. One Wikipedia read later and I am digging my grand dad's pitchfork out of the shed. The guy is Cobra Commander levels of internationally wanted.
Johnny Somali, the nuisance streamer who travels the world committing the most culturally offensive felonies he can for views, is now in Korea. Mock-assaulting memorials to sex crime victims, Actual-harassing women, spraying rotten fish juice on subway strangers.

And he is absolutely screwed.

Made some chicken and coriander dumplings over the weekend. I don't have any photos of them after being cooked which you can take as an indication of how well they turned out. Definitely need some practice.

I recently heard the source image for this was AI generated, which is so strange to have an incredibly talented artist copy an AI image. I pass by here every once in a while and it's usually advertising the latest Disney show and it always looks great. Such a shame in this case.
