Personally I didn't love the 2016 Ghostbusters remake (for my own reasons, and not the usual "But women!" and "It ruined my childhood!" guff) but didn't join in dumping on it because I could see the joy it was bringing others (especially girls, as it had always been a very male oriented franchise).

To be fair, a version of Chicago with the robot car does actually sound amazing

The Terminator turned me from a film viewer to a film fan. The first film I bought, as a nervous 14yr old wondering if Our Price would serve me. They did.

The Empire Strikes Back - The first live action film I saw at the cinema

The Long Kiss Goodnight has my all time favourite on-screen friendship

Thanks!

BTW I have no idea why my iPad is telling me that there is no-one in my contacts called Marissa.

I think it’s an ADHD thing, but sometimes once I have an idea in my head, I just have to do it or it won’t leave me alone…

It looks great - nice work!

How did you achieve the slightly battered cover and 3D spine effect? Was that an existing texture, or did build one yourself?

I'm always on the look out for new ways of weathering my designs, and if I can create the texture myself without resorting to stock images, even better.

Also, I would totally buy this and if you ever wanted to make it a real thing, I would 100% be up for joining the fun, be it artwork, writing, puzzles, moral support, fetching lost frisbees from up pylons, making tea on the boat, polishing floors and putting rugs down, etc.

I've used Redbubble for notepads with my own artwork on. The quality was pretty good.

If you want added danger, then imagine that the whole escapade results in a Horse On A Speed Awareness Course

Just found out that there's a full scan of it on The Internet Archive lending library.

This is only about half the contents, but you can see how diverse it is, drawing from hugely popular UK and US mainstream shows (Twilight Zone, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Tales Of The Unexpected, etc) and lesser known cult stuff like Beasts, Haunted, etc.

Looking forward to diving into this one.

The Armchair Horror Collection is fascinating (and nothing to do with The Shining, Freddy Krueger or the Gary Oldman Dracula, despite their prominence on the cover).

It's short stories that were either the inspiration for, or the novelisation of episodes from horror anthology TV shows.

I can confirm this. I bought a virtual synthesizer for my iPad just the other day and it came with a virtual cape. I'm wearing it right now. Virtually.

I've got my sound turned down as I'm in the office, but I can totally hear that video clip inside my own head.

I often forget to review books after I've finished them - that pesky ADHD, eh? - but I've made a point of doing one for this.

I've also recommended it to a friend who is awaiting an assessment - I think it would really help him, whatever the outcome.

Is there anyone who hasn't been in your car? You've even given a lift to a famous plate

Vinyl Resting Place is a wonderful shop.

If I'm walking down the street and this person suddenly tries to touch me without my permission, I won't be held accountable for my actions.

"Professional" she might be, but I will end her.

I missed that episode but I did watch the story of TOTP 1985, which was great.

Some GIFs, you can just hear, can't you.

Affirmative!

Just ran through the entire song in my head. Things I may have done but don't remember:

Chicken in air
Left knee green
Pretend to be Keith
Salami in ears? Unlikely but not impossible

It's CASSEROLE your gran and disembowel YOURSELF (with spears). Can't believe I got that wrong.

Don't tell Rimmer
