Not sure if your update means you figured this out but I just learned the other day these smart batteries go to storage charge automatically at 72 hours of non use

This isn’t news to any service member, it’s a reminder to do what they signed up to do. It’s explicit in the onboarding process.

Switched our family of 4 a few months ago so the teenagers could have iMessages and FaceTime with their friends. Parental controls and firewalls are harder (apple seems to have decided my kids need privacy too) and everything else is pretty much the same. No strong pull to go back.
