Vanwege grote onzekerheid over de eigen veiligheid, werkt Europa hard aan het versterken van de eigen defensie. En omdat ook aan de Amerikaanse nucleaire paraplu wordt getwijfeld, zijn kernwapens daarbij geen taboe.
