No rush, James. I liked the Skulls on the original but I maybe suggested having more traditional era appropriate horror masks displayed in the window, yer classic Universal Monsters line up for example, maybe this guy, but done in your style.

I think the time is fast approaching that humanities struggle against AI needs a recognisable symbol.
Inspired by 'V' the 1980s sci-fi TV series and the recent defacing of the advertising for the Friend AI website on the NY subway.
Keep it simple. A universal symbol. Take back the power. Resist.

There's the thin monoline technical propelling pencils and then you have the thicker and more varied weights of the Staedler clutch pencil above. They have their own uses. What do you have in mind for them? This one, for example, could fell a sturdy horse.

Can't beat a classic. It has heft and a knurled fingergrip. It comes in other casing colours. Easy to procure replacement leads (and coloured variations). Built in sharpener. What's not to like?

This quote from the Phoenix Auctions guy from the Red Cabin Medium page is interesting. "100% of everything raised is going straight to them" (the charity I assume)
'Straight to' indicates that they won't be doing the paying the charity in installments over a year bullshit. Let's see.

I'm pretty sure the term 'Monsterverse' is already taken.

How about putting 'The Road' on afterwards just in case folks prefer their apocalypse a bit more ambiguous.

But not straight away. I noted that if this auction house raises £500 in the auction for charity it won't send it to them in one payment. It sets up a Direct Debit for £20 a month and pays over a couple of years. Legal? Probably but morally a bit iffy.

Finally got The Fantastic Four movie I always wanted.
Nice to have a superhero film unencumbered with the weight of the rest of a cinematic universe. It allows for a more measured pace.
The fun retro future tone is maintained perfectly. Too much to take in on first viewing.

So even if this auction makes money for The Hero Initiative, for example, it'll potentially take years for them to receive the full amount using this drip feed donation method.
If there was ever a Frazer-ish way to donate money to charity then this is it. Brag about the £500 but pay it over 2 years

I had a look at the website Forums Page and surprisingly there's no hint of FB there. Never one to pass up on self promotion.
What I did find is the bizarre way this company donates to charity. Raised £500? Great! Send it to charity? Well, no. Let's just set up a DD and pay in £20 installments...

I've posted this elsewhere, but this auction house may be Red Cabin Comics affiliated. I see lots of similarities to Frazer's style in their Instagram page. Small company trying to look pro, big plans, similar charity objectives. Even Red Cabin Comics get a shout out. Looks iffy to me.

I've been having a look at the Phoenix Auctions Insta. Is it just me or does this give off real Frazer-y vibes. Big plans for big charity donations, positive messages ; 'together we rise', banging on about vaulting, too many hashtags and even a shout out to Red Cabin Comics. Just weird.

Just back from seeing 'Children of Men' on the big screen. A modern cinematic masterpiece. 20 years old and more relevant by the day.
Dear UK Government. This film is a warning, not a blueprint.

Nice wee crop of blackcurrants from the garden. They're a bit wersh on their own so I'm going to freeze them until the apples are ready. Then it's pie time.

Yeah. The engineer had a big plastic briefcase with his soldering iron and spare parts in it. It usually only took him 5 or 10 minutes to fix whatever was wrong. It was usually the vertical hold / screen rolling or one half of the screen squished into the middle.
