We’d get the promised ACA vote in the senate (unless Dems add it in the amendments portion), and then a discharge petition would force Mike Johnson to bring it to a vote on the house floor. Provided all the other stuff makes it in.

The party of freedom has no freedom. And no truth. Poilievre’s MPs parroting points and clapping like seals, while praising dear leader. Don’t speak plain English or French, just deza, agitprop and propaganda. It used to be they just spread it. Those remaining now seem to believe it.

Bad drives out good. How many are effectively hostages? Poilievre’s like a cult leader; a Trump MAGA guru. He’s effectively purging for purity and obedience. He’s shrinking his CPC down to the people that’d blindly do anything for him including violence.

That’s an idea. We need to have something more than just good faith that good people will use good judgement.

If I could change the constitution, I would increase the requirement to use the Notwithstanding Clause to 2/3 of voting members. That way, it cannot be used gratuitously by premiers through their legislatures.
