In my life…politics, football (LFC), know a lot about recycling (CEO The Recycling Association) and eco stuff. FRSA. Personal views.
Agree with this article. I love Mo but maybe time to consider selling him and creating the next team. Our right side is exposed with him not defending.

What if we had no electricity and everything ran on fossil fuels?

This ad keeps making me chuckle.

Enjoy if you have not seen it or rewatch as it is just gold.

Directions from where Chris Kavanagh is from to the Etihad Stadium. We’ve been poor but how can a ref be selected from here for a Man City game?

We’ve been terrible but how can you have a ref from Ashton-under-Lyne, which is very much City territory in Manchester?

I agree with this #LFC team. Come on Liverpool!

VAR got that one right. Great goal.

I always thought Craig Pawson was bad against #LFC but just realised I was wrong

I don’t think it’s inappropriate to have some news stories about migration issues but it is very odd indeed for BBC 6 Music, a station essentially targeted at hipster leftie middle-aged people, to be majoring on asylum seeker stories as much as it does.
*Again* the top story on BBC 6 music is about immigration

How is Shabana Mahmood wanting to introduce a ‘Danish style’ system for refugees the top story this morning?!?

The obsession of 6 Music news on immigration and asylum is frankly bizarre

I’m not a rail expert, but if HS2 was a capacity issue, did anybody look at how local trains could be taken off the West Coast Mainline and the costs and impact of putting new smaller lines in for them. Genuinely interested if that was an option that was looked at.

Hi, I’m God.

Jesus and I agree that starving the poor so you can build yourself golden bathrooms and golden ballrooms is evil. Anyone who does that shall burn for eternity. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Thanks,

Superb #LFC performance. Everybody stepped up but Dom, Conor, Robbo and Ibou really impressed me tonight. Good to see Flo get more involved too.

Amazing how decisions always benefit Real Madrid #LFC

I want AI to do something for me. I ask it to do it. Then it creates something similar to what I wanted but not enough and I spend ages trying to get exactly what I wanted. Eventually I give up and do it the old way. Is this the future?

I’m very lucky to live in the countryside. But one of the frustrations is when delivery drivers can’t be bothered to come out to you so put in their system that you were not in. DPD today. The only reliable one is Evri and that’s because the regular delivery driver has got to know everyone locally.

Went to the match last night. Took me 3.5 hours to get there because of bad traffic and only just made kick off. We lost and the game was crap. Got drenched in the heavy rain walking back to the car and not home until after midnight. But always great being a #LFC supporter and we’ll be great again

(If I were writing British politics as an episode of The West Wing, I'd have Starmer activate the "Hail Mary" option of saying he'll rejoin the EU in a second term. Re-polarise the electorate along Brexit lines and hope the shifts in demographics/material reality force a winning coalition.)

Pre-season was disrupted due to the tragic loss of Diogo plus we brought in shed loads of players and sold others. It will take a bit longer but we’ll be alright. There just isn’t time on the training ground to sort things right now with games coming thick and fast. But we’ll sort it.

I’m going to Anfield on Wednesday but I hope Slot plays a load of kids and spends the week with the senior players sorting things on the training ground

Loving that the new @stereolabgroop.bsky.social single Fed Up With Your Job is on the BBC 6 Music A playlist. Cheers me up every time I hear it during the daytime when I’m fed up with my job.

@theanfieldwrap.bsky.social I enjoyed the ticketing discussion podcast this week. This would be controversial, but should there be a 10 year limit on having a season ticket? At the end of that 10 years it can be passed on to someone you know under the age of 25 or it goes to someone on the season

12 fair and pro-growth tax rises that Rachel Reeves should consider

My post for @labourlist.bsky.social

1. Freeze all income tax and national insurance thresholds until the end of the parliament

(though it would be fairer to just raise income tax rates)

The BBC are accidentally running the subtitles to Mrs Marple over the Mercury Prize, and it’s rather wonderful. A few of lines could plausibly have been written by Jarvis.
