Did we mention that the mountain was out yesterday?
November 10, 2025 at 3:36 AM
I waited for what seemed to be hours (maybe 30 min) in the rain waiting for some sun to hit the trees enough to pop the colors.
I love this time of year!

Despite the atmospheric river hitting the Pacific Northwest, and getting absolutely soaked on my outing, today was a beautiful fall day! ❤️
Peak colors for sure!

It’s not quite peak fall here in the Pacific Northwest, but moments like this stop you in your tracks. 🍂 The light, the quiet, that little red barn framed just right.

What’s your favorite part of fall where you are? 🍁

It was amazing how many species of birds I spotted along the shore of the Chobe River in Botswana.
This is the Pied Kingfisher. 🐦
Definitely not in the Pacific Northwest although we do have our own kingfishers here. #birds

🐘 ❤️
There was a quiet gracefulness of this elephant as he made his way through the bush, enjoying his morning. He seemed to be curious of us, but not at all worried. He approached our safari vehicle with caution but power. It was a truly magic moment.

Happy Father’s Day to all the amazing father’s out there, and to the ones we miss. ❤️
This colorful European Starling made a very brief visit this morning but I was able to grab this quick shot before it darted off again.

Good morning Pacific Northwest neighbors! I hope you can find ways to stay cool today just like this little duckling 🐥. Spotted at Lake Chelan earlier in the week.
Stay cool! #photography

Sad to hear about the closure of the Fairfax bridge. Not surprised though. Hopefully a replacement is in the works, but it will never have this beauty.

A panoramic view of our favorite mountain, Mount Rainier (Tahoma). The best mountain in the Pacific Northwest, don’t you agree? ❤️
