Did we mention that the mountain was out yesterday?
I waited for what seemed to be hours (maybe 30 min) in the rain waiting for some sun to hit the trees enough to pop the colors.
I love this time of year!

Despite the atmospheric river hitting the Pacific Northwest, and getting absolutely soaked on my outing, today was a beautiful fall day! ❤️

It was amazing how many species of birds I spotted along the shore of the Chobe River in Botswana.
This is the Pied Kingfisher. 🐦
Definitely not in the Pacific Northwest although we do have our own kingfishers here. #birds

There was a quiet gracefulness of this elephant as he made his way through the bush, enjoying his morning. He seemed to be curious of us, but not at all worried. He approached our safari vehicle with caution but power. It was a truly magic moment.

Sad to hear about the closure of the Fairfax bridge. Not surprised though. Hopefully a replacement is in the works, but it will never have this beauty.
