Just been to Nijo Castle in Kyoto where the Shōgun installed nightingale floors which sound a bit like there’s always someone playing a xylophone in the corridor while you’re trying to work.

Notable that the only UK newspaper today not condemning Trump and Putin on its front page is the Daily Telegraph, which instead leads with “trans doctors given clean records”. So sad to see what’s become of a once respected broadsheet.
