Found the pic of the Edmund Fitzgerald my dad took at some point on Superior. He took a LOT of pictures of ships while working the Great Lakes. I stumbled on this one while digitizing boxes of family slides.

We had even more kids than usual, around 200. Probably due to the Toronto Star listing us as the third best neighborhood for trick or treating. But the kids completely disappeared at 8 as everyone rushed home to watch the Jays game.

UW - Madison, where I did a M.A. as an international student, has had students visas revoked. Absolutely chilling. I’ll be encouraging my daughter to look anywhere BUT the U.S. for graduate programs.
