I actually don't think she should be able to have a moments rest until she explains why Andrew Cuomo is fine but Al Franken is not. Like someone should follow her around with a bullhorn screaming the question at her.
Kirsten Gillibrand on WNYC won’t endorse Mamdani. Said she doesn’t endorse NYC mayoral races (she endorsed Adams in 2021), and is waiting to see who runs on what line. What a fucking disgrace.

I appreciate that, unlike the ever-evasive Times, Hell Gate just says the thing. It’s like reading good directing. They see and aren’t afraid to name what’s happening on stage plainly.
The NY Times Isn’t Endorsing Cuomo—They’re Just Telling You to Vote for Him
The paper that doesn’t make local endorsements makes a very weird and tortured non-endorsement.

There must be some middle ground between the Delacorte’s ultra-hardcore rain-won’t-stop-us policy and Little Island’s we-sense-a-mist-so-we’re-pausing-the-show-oh-wait-make-that-canceling-it approach. I appreciate the caution, but it’s awfully frustrating.

Andrew Cuomo knows: moving to New York City can be hard. But voting here shouldn’t be.

Will we support a president as impactful as our current one, perhaps one who would bully the courts like FDR, someone who will move fast and make things, and enact something like a New Deal to restore and recreate what’s been lost? And further, one who will fight to move us to somewhere totally new?
