The 2017 Trump tax cuts gave 1.3-million households with incomes above $732,800 an average tax cut of $61,090—$1.1-trillion over a decade (82.8% of the cuts went to the top 1%). Do the actual DOGE savings even come close?

I wonder where Congress can find money for the budget?

Trump & Musk are a tag team Linda McMahon must be proud of!
But she doesn’t have to promote them for WWE! They are expert self-promoters…(with a base that think WWE performances are real).

The taxes that rich people evade each year amount to more than $150 billion, former IRS Commissioner Danny Werfert told CNBC in 2024. Investigating them could pay off: A 2023 paper estimated that every dollar the agency spends on audits of wealthy people could translate to $12 in recovered funds.

Hey! I have an idea:
Let's ban books, control arts (Kennedy Center for starters), take over Gaza, Greenland and Canada, stop aiding kids and poor in 3rd world (China will like that) & give 19-yos access to secure government computers.

So it's dangerous for China to have the ability to access our data and manipulate us via social media apps.

But it's okay for America's billionaires to have the ability to access our data and manipulate us via social media apps.

Do I have this right?

The point isn’t to pat ourselves on the back because we have it better. It’s to remember that if people like Navalny are willing to risk imprisonment, torture, and death to resist an evil empire, there is no excuse for us to back down. @cathyyoung63.bsky.social: www.thebulwark.com/p/even-in-de...

It has been incredibly rare that Bolton and I saw eye to eye on International Relations. Amazing how often we agree about Trump and his acolytes.

The First Amendment gives us the right to lie: witness the mouths of Trump, Bannon, Musk and Carlson. It’s not unconstitutional, however, to require those sharing or posting the lies to publish retractions/clarifications once the truth is known. Why can’t Congress handle that?

At my age and likely need for eventual medical care, plus the desire to remain close to my children, ex pat relocation isn't as attractive as it once was. But, the fact that Hitler opened Dachau within 3 months--not for Jews but for political enemies--echoes loudly as I hear the Gaetz rhetoric.

Why is anyone shocked that Trump is building a Cabinet to do exactly what he said he would do?
