Opinions on NUFC.
If the speculation is true that the club have blocked Isak’s move to Liverpool and that he is not for sale this summer, I’m glad. Tough & right stance. Liverpool and Isak have disrespected this club. #NUFC

I’m not surprised there are tickets left for the match against Espanyol tonight. When you don’t deliver what you promised, fans will start to lose interest. I still don’t think the club can turn this around. No point being desperate and signing any player. #NUFC

The clubs that are apparently supposed to challenge for the top 4 this season have had a poor transfer window. It’s just our window has been played out in the media. Not defending the club, the recruitment has been poor and a lack of leadership in the boardroom has contributed to this. #NUFC

Dubravka signs for Burnley. Wish him well. #NUFC

How can you agree personal terms with a player when you have not agreed a fee with a club. That is tapping up a player. Transfers don’t work like that. Absolute nonsense. #NUFC

If Isak had any respect for the club, he would give us one more season. We cannot afford to lose Isak when we are struggling to bring players in. It’s easy to say get rid but that would be irresponsible. There is no one available in the transfer market that can replace him at this time. #NUFC

The wheels came off when Amanda Staveley left the club. Her hands were tied because of PSR. She is an investor. There was speculation on why she left but it was not explained to the supporters. After this the negativity off the pitch has spread to this very day. #NUFC

PSR should be used for clubs such as Morecambe FC and Sheffield Wednesday. The supporters of these clubs must be looking on in disbelief. These rules are not fit for purpose. They do more harm to football clubs than save them. What a state this sport has become. Shocking! #NUFC

The reason the club have lost out on these players they have targeted is because they are not selling the project properly. When Staveley was here, she was passionate, understood the club and stopped at nothing to secure the signatures of these players. The void has not been replaced since. #NUFC

On the Isak issue. His behaviour over the past few weeks has been disgusting but when you are told false promises by the club you are going to be annoyed. Not excusing this. Imo he should have got on with it in a professional manner like Trippier and Gordon did. #NUFC

Questions will be asked from supporters and rightly so. PSR is an issue but the recruitment team should have planned. It’s not good enough. Someone within the club needs to take the blame. Over the 4 transfer windows they have done the same and were expecting different results. Does not work. #NUFC

I don’t understand how a lower bid for a player can be accepted. I thought the highest bid would win the day. Absolute farce. #NUFC

The club are considering a bid for Malick Thiaw. I know Chelsea are after a centre back. I reckon he is Stamford Bridge bound. #NUFC

Questions need to be asked of the recruitment team at this club after the transfer window if it becomes an overall failure. It’s not good losing out on players and targeting downgrades, this shows desperation. Lack of planning/ using a scattered approach to see what sticks is destined to fail #NUFC

We just cannot function properly as a club because of PSR. This transfer window has been shambolic. Signing Elanga and Ramsdale is pitiful. The club is a rudderless ship behind the scenes. I’m actually downbeat for this season and I shouldn’t be. #NUFC

There we have it, the club have lost out on Benjamin Sesko. I did say yesterday that RB Leipzig would accept a lower bid from Manchester United and it looks like that is the case. Disappointing but not surprised. We cannot compete. #NUFC
August 5, 2025 at 12:17 PM
If the club do not get an answer from Sesko today, they need to move on. I get the feeling we won’t hear anything. The longer this goes on, the doubts will start to appear. #NUFC

Spare a thought for Morecambe FC. Horrible what is happening there. Hopefully the deal to save their football club goes through today. #NUFC

I wouldn’t believe the report about the club pushing for Sesko tonight. There is a massive contradiction here which is all outcomes are possible. I’m going to ignore this for now. Best way! #NUFC

I think the club want to keep Isak and if he stays, they will concentrate on the Wissa deal. It’s seems that Sesko is a backup option even though they are showing ambitious intent. Interesting 48 hours ahead. #NUFC

Club being linked to Thiaw and Guehi this afternoon. They would be ideal replacements for Burn and Schar. Worry is have they left it too late in the window. We shall see. #NUFC
August 4, 2025 at 3:33 PM
We will probably hear this afternoon or early tomorrow morning if Isak hands in a transfer request. If there is no news, then it will be assumed he has agreed to train with the rest of the squad. #NUFC
August 4, 2025 at 11:41 AM
The club are clearly trying to sort it out with Isak. Could a new deal be on the table. It’s possible. #NUFC
August 4, 2025 at 10:54 AM
I don’t believe that the club have accepted that Isak must be sold. I think they would love nothing more for him to stay. If there was a manager to get him back on board, it’s Eddie Howe. #NUFC
August 4, 2025 at 9:26 AM
Even if Liverpool sell Nunez and offer £150 million for Isak, it will get rejected. It all depends on Sesko. If we miss out, Liverpool will have to look elsewhere. The club did say they would do what’s best for Newcastle United. #NUFC
