Day 31 - The Man From Majorca (Sweden/Denmark, 1984)
The final Augheist film for this year had to be an all time great. Starts with a perfectly executed post office heist, which then becomes one of the finest police procedurals.

Day 30 - Lupin the 3rd vs. Cat's Eye (Japan, 2023)
An absolute blast. Cracking theme tune and credits, rips along and the Cat's Eye sister crew are fantastic.

Day 29 - Sausto (A Loaf of Bread) (Czechoslovakia, 1960)
A very small heist, the largest of stakes. Jan Nemec's short film about three concentration camp prisoners needing to steal a loaf of bread before trying to escape is taut, sparse and exceptional.

Day 27 - The Great Van Robbery (UK, 1959)
Kicks off with a perfectly executed heist. The robbers trade off the currency. 30 months later and some of it turns up in Rio, and a Scotland Yard detective kicks off a decent police procedural. Cheap B movie, but nicely done.
