FIFA’s Coach of the 20th Century, Rinus Michels, differentiates between predominantly coach led sports like the NFL and player led sports like football. But in C21st footy there’s less & less emphasis on player autonomy and more on coaches decision making. It’s sad that players are like robots now.

I’ve been here, just not been posting. If I was to lie I’d say it’s because we’ve now got double trouble and my hands have been full (meet Suki)! 🤥 Truth is the winter blues have kicked in early this year and I just couldn’t be bothered posting during the ever lengthening international breaks!

Wilcox is making the right noise here. I think #MUFC became a vanity project for some rich men who didn’t know much about football. Thank heavens that the Galactico-era Manchester United is now seemingly over.

Just back from the cinema. Enjoyed this one. Very topical and surprised Donald Trump didn’t shutdown Hollywood to stop its release. Rating it 8 out of 10. I think I would’ve rated it higher, my only qualm being that I don’t think this needed to be 2hrs 41mins long.

George Orwell’s 1984 is his most quotable work at present. £ for £, I think Animal Farm is his best work though and it trumps Sun Tzu’s The Art Of War. It’s a story with archetypal characters that gets played out the world over. At 92 pages long, what’s your excuse for not reading it, Boxer? 👊🏼
