I've taken a back seat recently on socials, and other things, so just a quick one to share this.

So something I've been working on for a while now, is a webui to allow me to easily manage some of my smart home devices. At the moment I've only tied it into my heating system, but the plan is to extend it to other devices over time via a plugin architecture. So here is what it does so far...

Finally got round to starting work on support for the Apple M0110(A) Keyboard on my converter project. Currently on an experimental branch, but hope to have this in a better place soon enough. #VintageApple #Macintosh #VintageComputing #VintageKeyboards

I'm here today at the Northwest Computer Museum, to have a look around and meet some folk at the #Commodore Day!

Risked it on AliExpress as the required CPLD to build a Terrible fire TF536 are discontinued and seriously hard to find. Acetone turned the cotton buds slightly black, but cleaning it back up with IPA, the markings were still there. Guess I'll need to try and program one! #amiga #retrocomputing

Bagged a bargain recently. Ocean Software 'The Dream Team' bundle (Terminator 2, Bart vs Space Mutants and Wrestle mania) and Deluxe Paint III for my Amiga, and also Dragon - Bruce Lee Story for my Atari Jaguar... All for just £10!

Fun weekend so far...
Good: Moved all of my domains to @cloudflare.social from a self-hosted DNS setup on Hetzner Cloud (which has been running for 9 years without any issues). Loving the new analytics from it & the API is a breeze to utilise.
Bad: Partners car went boom... So we're down to 1 car

Difference in sound between my 1988 Model M keyboards: 1390131 AT Enhanced, and 1390886 Type 2 M122. Stabilisers on both are lubed, the difference is purely from the case.

Started playing about with Ghost recently alongside building out a K3S cluster. I've never liked using WP for my own site, and is one reason I've probably not been doing anything with it for a while. Ghost does seem pretty smooth and simplistic in comparison, although may take some getting used to.

Managed to get a hold of a couple more Lynwood Beta Terminal keyboards (in various states of disrepair), so that now makes 3 in total. One is fully restored already, these two need quite a bit of work. Looking at doing a custom PCB for the worst of these and have something a little bit different??

Keeping this short and sweet, but Merry Christmas everyone! Hope you have a lovely Christmas in whatever corner of the world you are, and a cracking New Year! #Christmas #MechanicalKeyboards #Keebs #Santa

One big problem with ADHD, is that when you start a project, you ultimately end up getting distracted and add it to the ever-expanding 'to-do' pile. I really need to get back on and finish my Apple M0110A Keyboard, as it's still sat fully stripped down waiting to be sorted!
This Apple M0110A has seen better days…
I've recently got hold of a 1986 Apple M0110A Keyboard, and I've been wanting one of these for quite some time now, so to finally get one has really made my day! Introduced with the Macintosh Plus in ...

And that's a wrap. My Twitter/X account is now deactivated and should be fully killed off soon. Interestingly, other than the X company mention at the bottom, the deactivation confirmation for the developer side is all still Twitter branded!

Have to admit, I've high hopes for Fortnite Chapter 6. The Remix was OK, unless you're at the receiving end of Eminem's minigun... Will be good to get back onto the story quests too, missed that aspect of it!

Keyboard/Device converter dev board is mostly assembled now but working! Still waiting for another logic shifter, but so far much better than the breadboard setup I was using! I could probably tidy the neopixels a bit too but they're functional and fine as-is. Certainly more reliable than before!

Tonight I met Professor Steve Furber at an event, and cheekily asked for a signature on my Acorn Electron (Elk). Made my day!

Sharing this as Northwest Computer Museum currently has no presence on #Bluesky. This Saturday (23rd November) Should be a good night for all BBC Micro and Acorn Enthusiasts, as well as those interested in the history of the ARM CPU!

Shiny things arrived today! Been using a breadboard to work on my RP2040 converter project for ages, it's a mess with all the jump wires and bodged connectors, so tidied it up onto a modular PCB which I can easily swap out different devices! 1 RP2040 is the converter, and the other runs Scoppy.

Oh well tomorrow could be interesting if this snow keeps up!

So tonight it's supposed to snow, with a weather warning in place. To be honest I think I will see more white stuff on the ground from knocking the table salt over!

I guess we'll have to wait and see how good these new controls & measures are. This is one of my main gripes about Roblox in that it just has really poor parental controls. You can limit exposure already, but it's an 'all-or-nothing' approach without any granular control.

Who else has a favourite or regular place to go when being creative or needing some inspiration? I usually end up at my local computer museum (NorthWest Computer Museum in the UK) this was my setup on quite a few occasions as I was working on a RP2040 powered keyboard converter. Quite a fun project!
