I doubt this daub on the Royal Courts is by Banksy: the drawing is absolutely appalling, the message is as glib as it is pedestrian. My money is on it being done by a cheeky manque. @niallmachin1.bsky.social

Really enjoying @BBCRadio2 live from Chelmsford. Storming guest spot with Def Leppard from Happy Valley’s Sarah Lancashire. What a pair of lungs! And what a belting voice! Also Sunday Bass Club with the good Osman brother slinging it low with resurrected art rockers Suede @niallmachin1.bsky.social

Shocking cultural appropriation by #Rod Stewart’s backing girls effortlessly offending beach-based communities. But I agree with Sean O’Context on the radio this morning:The #BobVylan set was the most vigorous compelling set of the #Glastonbury weekend. Kneecap were seriously overshadowed!

@niallmachin1.bsky.social …and if there’s a tv in your departure hall, Russell Crowe is doing a guest spot at #Glastonbury now

Really enjoying @TheTraitorsUS.bsky.sicial . Wonderfully bitchy & the camp turned up to 11! Compelling. Loved the game where the men get the females to carry large concrete dildos up a mountain &the ban on untattooed contestants. #Traitors @alancummingsnap @ClaudiaWinkle @niallmachin1.bsky.social

On me head! Congrats to Sir David Beckham who has received the gong for helping to raise - according to ‘king’ Charles- ‘raptor awareness in the fields of football and celebrity’. Well done, Sir Dave! @niallmachin1.bsky.social @markavery.bsky.social .bsky.social @hawkandowl.bsky.social

@niallmachin1.bsky.social Astonishing number of people exhibiting far right sympathies openly in Pisa yesterday. Slightly shocked, tbh. #Pisa

Excited to be in Florence and see Tracey Emin is in town! Full size nude photos of the empress in her new clothes adorn several billboards and massive poster of Shiny Woman Fingering Herself (2013) and Shit Figure (2004) repel and enchant!

Characteristically rude & insulting interview by Nick Robinson with Green Party Adrian Ramsay. Why do politicians even go on the Today prog if he’s is near a mike?Labour’s increased runway policy is an electoral disaster, but the interview was all about divisive trans toiletting and point scoring 🤮

Excited to find this old poster from my grandfather Aberama who birded Wormwood Scrubs after a short spell in there in the 1940s. Scarce now, ravens were apparently quite common, attracted by the offal/limbs etc from the prison hospital. Happier times! All welcome!

Had a Brimstone in Acton just now. No photo because I was too busy trying to reshape my narrative…
First Orange Tip of the year for me, in the garden, moments ago. No photo as it didn’t stay. Spring - uncoiling!

False alarm: @niallmachin1.bsky.social didn’t follow me back. Is that how Bluesky works? Anyway, tge coveted first follower boots remain to be filled…

There is currently a pretty unique opportunity to become my first follower on BlueSky. Here’s a bookish Dunnock contemplating his beloved Wormwood Scrubs. Newsflash: my old Twitteree Niall Machin has welcomed me to Rebel Alliance. Nice. Cheers Niall

My new essay is how Dieppe and a meeting with Degas changed the way Walter Sickert painted and the subjects he chose to paint. This work by Sickert 'Rue Saint-Jacques,' (c1903) is for sale. If you're interested in buying it, please drop me a line

Sign the petition to ban driven grouse shooting and free up Glenn to spend more time brushing his teeth.
Glenn Massacre (@mrhenrymorris.bsky.social) , Net Zero Czar for the driven grouse shooting industry , thinks that burning hundreds of thousands of acres of carbon-sink peatland is good for wildlife and the planet !

All so he and his pals can shoot grouse .

Outraged ? Us too . . .
