I will be there. I'm the one (or possibly one of the ones) with green hair.

I bought this recently and have not got around to it yet but the more I hear about it the higher up my TBR list it goes.

I finished Adrian Tchaikovsky's Final Architecture series last week and loved it. Sticking with Tchaikovsky and dipping in to The Tyrant Philosophers now with The City of Last Chances.

Morning Womble. I'm reading Patrick O'Brian's The Thirteen Gun Salute and not enjoying it as much as the previous 12 Aubrey/Maturin novels. It's my least favourite so far.

Jasper Fforde and is the only one on my go-to authors list left alive. There used to be Iain M Banks, Douglas Adams, and Terry Pratchett on the list too. More may be added, I've got my eye on one or two.

I strongly recommend Look to Windward and Matter.

Just finishing off Jasper Fforde's One of Our Thursday's is Missing and then it's back to the Patrick O'Brian's Aubrey/Maturin series.

I've read all of Iain M Banks' novels (and a few of Iain Banks') and out of all of those Excession was my favourite. They are consistently good books, he's one of my favourite authors.

I once fixed David Gemmell's computer :)

This is a hard question, I have at least 6 favourite authors but if forced to pick just one right now I'd have to say Jasper Fforde. His style of absurdist fantasy makes him impossible to predict, and the journeys he takes you on are odd, fantastic, and wonderful.

I read this series after watching the TV show. I enjoyed it, some really nice concepts, but I'm still not sure how I feel about the ending. Looking forward to the TV season 2 which was recently announced.

I sold my Oculus Rift a while ago. Maybe it's time to stick my toe in the (VR) water again, I do miss it.

I was going to aim for 52 books read this year but then family things got hectic just before Xmas and my reading time suffered as a result and will continue to do so, but I still think I can manage 26 so that's my goal.

I bought City of Last Chances a few weeks ago, not got around to reading it just yet, but your opinion may have put it nearer to the top of my tbr list.

I think it was probably Jasper Fforde's Red Side Story. I had waited a long time for the sequel to Shades of Grey and it was worth it.

Mine too. I hope @aptshadow.bsky.social has one more sequel in him.
