Having the local SPCA start showing up in my feeds with pictures and stories about various creatures needing homes without warning is an act of violence against my poor heart. All of them are wonderful creatures who need good homes and happiness that I can't give them in my situation ;_;

It's amazing how one small event, one short visit, can make returning home feel foreign, unnatural, out of place. That the home returned to is not where one feels they belong, that it's missing a presence one only began to know, an emptiness that lingers, a quietness overlooked before now glaring.

Summary of the past few months:

• Fought a fire (and won)

• Started IV medication due to prior medication no longer being effective

• Evacuate for an evening due to contractor causing a carbon monoxide bubble in building

• Got crunched at work (OT)

• Got laid off a week after crunch ended

Blah

I need a bubble to just escape from time and the grind for survival for a while, to steal back lost hours spent in pain and unhappiness.

You'd think an important stakeholder to keep in the loop when scheduling a medical procedure would be the patient. but far be it from me to tell healthcare professionals how to run things. Calling them at the start time of the procedure, and asking if they're still coming is certainly the way to go.

I never thought that I'd be able to say I am literally radioactive once in my life, let alone twice, but here we are. Still no superpowers though.

I am growing rather tired of the inconsistency of what causes symptoms and their scale.

Also, the limbo of being in a state where you know your body is about to be angry, but not knowing how intense, in what form it will be, and for how long it will last is exhausting.

I am terribad at social media. I keep forgetting accounts exist. Likely doesn't help my life has been occupied by other, rather focus-absorbing, things. Ugh.
