I just want to add that I highly recommend experimenting with art that you know will displease. Allow it to exist and if you want extra self-affirmation, allow it to be seen.

Release it like you would a plague of happy little locusts.

Brew 🖤 & Toby 💛
Brew is a superb black lab + german shepherd mix. He tends to be anxious, so he requires his human to be at his side at all times. “I simply must have a hug—” he says, booping your mid-face nasal protuberance without skipping a beat. Toby is the local Cordon Bleu Chef Pâtissier. He thinks meringue is something best enjoyed on a lemon pie, however he will gladly make an exception and dance it with you.

in other news I'm also messing around with sega genesis dev again, hacking on my little library/kit and in the process of figuring out how to do some automated graphics conversions stumbled upon how to do really great color conversion and vertical dithering automatically via imagemagick
Top image: VGA, bottom: normalized, constrained to Genesis palette, 16 colors, ordered vertical dithering Images from Sam & Max: Hit the Road. Original backgrounds are approximately 150 to 170 colors. Both the conversions are normalized in gamut/brightness to get the most out of the Genesis' low color resolution.
