Today Courtney and I participated in an event called Floatzilla in the Quad Cities. There were over 1100 people kayaking and canoeing down the Mississippi River. We even went through a lock!

We brought our new 7 year old rescue cockatiel Rue (right) home last night. Tweety (left) seems pretty pleased with the situation!

Goldfish likes to carry around towels and we always joke that she's like Linus from Peanuts so today I got her a little blue towel to really sell the look, haha.

This is Crackers's spot in the living room. Her spot in the bedroom is under the bed. The commonality between the spots in the air conditioner vent. She spends about 90% of her time laying next to/on top of the vents in the warmer months.

Courtney got her learner's permit today. I went up to her work on her lunch break and she practiced driving around an empty parking lot. It was her first time behind the wheel in over 20 years. It was my first time ever seeing her drive!

Spent the last couple hours preparing to go look at some cars in the Quad Cities tomorrow morning. Found five possibles at 4 different dealerships. Printed out the Carfax reports and did some research on each. Feeling somewhat prepared.
