I was so livid an hour ago. So livid that I actually contacted the authoritaries, as reluctant as I naturally am to doing so. For the third time, the neighbor's 3 unleashed dogs charged and attacked my 2 leashed dogs as we walked by. Thank God my dogs weren't harmed.

I had to work late so we missed the protest in our town. We drove 45 minutes away to one with a later start time. Figured it doesn't matter where so much.

Until today, I was the only name on the car insurance for both vehicles. The insurance company said Courtney didn't need to be listed until she got her actual license. She got it today. We went to the insurance office to add her. My premium went down $3/month. How in the fuck? Not what I expected!

Courtney donated a painting to a charity that had a big event tonight. I accompanied Courtney to the event. There were hundreds of people in attendance. I shit you not, I was the only dude there that wasn't working or volunteering as usher. To be fair, the event was called "Diamonds and Divas".

We woke up on Friday morning at 8am MDT in a dumpy motel in Evanston, Wyoming. I'm currently writing this at home in Rock Falls, Illinois on Saturday morning at 3:48am CDT. About 1200 road miles. ~17 hours of wheels-on-the-street driving + pit stops.

We bought a car in Northbrook north of Chicago yesterday. Courtney doesn't have her license yet so I had to leave our truck at the dealership and bring the new car home. Now I'm on a Greyhound heading into Chicago. Gonna switch to a train when I get there and I should be at my truck by 1pm.

Today Courtney and I participated in an event called Floatzilla in the Quad Cities. There were over 1100 people kayaking and canoeing down the Mississippi River. We even went through a lock!

This is Crackers's spot in the living room. Her spot in the bedroom is under the bed. The commonality between the spots in the air conditioner vent. She spends about 90% of her time laying next to/on top of the vents in the warmer months.

Courtney and I are going to go meet a seven year old female cockatiel tomorrow. She was rescued by a family but the kids didn't give her enough attention. The dad contacted me because I posted about how we're looking for an older cockatiel to be Tweety's friend. He seems down since Piper passed away

Courtney got her learner's permit today. I went up to her work on her lunch break and she practiced driving around an empty parking lot. It was her first time behind the wheel in over 20 years. It was my first time ever seeing her drive!
