I am an Outdoors Leader, offering guided walks (mostly in Northumberland). I hold the Hill and Moorland Leader Award and I work as a freelance tour guide. I can often be found delivering the Ingram Valley Farm Safari in Northumberland National Park.
We had snow today, mind you it was 600+ metres up in the Cheviot Hills. Looking forward to the show.

It's been a long time since I walked on Dartmoor, but I would suggest looking at the village centres with the usual facilities and plan from there. It's an ancient landscape as well, everything from tin mining to potato caves to discover.
