Sitting in Northumberland on a rainy Sunday and looking forward to hearing about Lindisfarne on the @cerysmatthews.bsky.social It's a timeless landscape and one that I know well, having led hundreds of people across the Pilgrim's Way on hundreds of guided walks over the years.

Good morning @cerysmatthews.bsky.social from a damp and overcast Northumberland. A rare day at home, letting my feet recover from a rainy barefooted walk across the Pilgrim's Way to Holy Island yesterday. I'm looking forward to your show, as ever.

Sheer perfection @cerysmatthews.bsky.social thanks for sharing the call of the Kakapo, a true night bird.

Probably the finest view on the Northumberland Coast, looking south across Embleton Bay towards Dunstanburgh Castle today, 25 November 25. Burns Night as it happens, I heard a golfer address the haggis from the 15th tee, his recital was better than his golf!

Thanks for a brilliant Blues Show last night @cerysmatthews.bsky.social listening to the conversation with Candi Staton and hearing the music is life affirming. What a life she has lived.

High in the Cheviot Hills in Northumberland National Park. Deep snow, bright sunshine and some glorious winter views. @sianushka.bsky.social

Today, I led four visitors from Tasmania across the Pilgrims Way to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne. At the halfway point, we paused to watch the sunrise and a blood red sun crept over the far horizon, silhouetting Bamburgh Castle and all was well on the Northumberland Coast as the new day began.

A bit bleak up on the summit of The Cheviot today. The fog swirled around us, the sun peeped out occasionally and a bitter wind blew from the west. No rain though and no other people other than Paul and I braving the Winter weather. Great days out in Northumberland.

There was a torrent of water flowing off the Cheviot Hills in Northumberland National Park today, typified by the Carey Burn and its cascades of waterfalls tumbling through the Valley today.

Good morning @cerysmatthews.bsky.social from Northumberland as a line of 'blue sky' peeps out between the grey clouds, a promise of a brighter day to come. I've got some bread making lined up, kneading to some great music has to be the ideal way to spend a Sunday morning.

I was walking in the Carding Mill Valley in the Shropshire Hills National Landscape when I spotted this sheep very much on lookout duty, just what she was looking out for, well, who knows.

Right place, right time to spot one of two black guillemots just off the Bamburgh Coast this afternoon. Thanks to Space for Shorebirds for pointing them out. A pod of dolphins was also pretty cool to see. Life in the Northumberland Coast National Landscape.

I'm heading for London tomorrow, early train, to attend the AGM and Chair's Conference for the National Landscape Association. It's going to be a long day, but it's great to representing the Northumberland Coast National Landscape Partnership.

A great day on the @ingramsafaris.bsky.social today, some excellent weather, the calm after the storm. The cattle were on the move, the tups are with the ewes and our red deer were looking resplendent in their winter coats. Our guests enjoyed this unique experience in Northumberland National Park.

Last Friday, I explored the Hen Hole deep in the College Valley in Northumberland National Park. The waterfalls were mostly frozen making for some dramatic scenery.
