Not sure about guns specifically but with other mechanical products I’ve had a lot of luck finding technical manuals and illustrations on the manufacture and supplier websites.

The pink hue being less important compared to the shade and materiality of the paint. I wouldn’t be surprised if the color scheme changes in the future, the castle returns with a shade of gray similar to the current pink. Rather than the old white or cream color the castle previously had.

I’d always had an assumption that besides the merchandise and marketing opportunities the reason Disney went with the metallic pink was to enhance the projections on the castle. Like if you compare a projection on a white board to the silver screen of a projection screen. Just with more pink.

I made the components in Fusion and then printed them on my Ender3. The servos are driven off of an Arduino and a PWM Driver. I wrote code to procedurally animate the movement of the eyes. This video was made shortly after I go the entire mechanism working for the first time

Here is the circuit diagram I used to source electrical components. The design allows the automaton to be rechargeable and run off a lipo battery. A micro controller is used to control the motor and allow for variable speed patterns.

This proof of concept model shows the mechanisim that drives the animation. A DC motor hidden in the base drives a push rod that moves the figure. Putting the motor at an angle allows the push rod to an an elliptical path allowing the animation to look more "floaty"
