I hate to say it but the jubilant response to Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl has baffled me. I think it’s possibly the worst album of her career. Bar a small handful of good tracks (Ruin the Friendship, Opalite) it’s so mundane and the lyrics have rarely been worse.

There’s something so funny about Independent Ireland saying they’ll nominate Maria Steen for the presidency because the people of Ireland “deserve the right to choose”. I wonder what Maria thinks about people having the right to choose?

It’s obviously long overdue, but I’m delighted to see Ireland, the Netherlands and others boycotting Eurovision if Israel is allowed to participate. Sharing a stage with Israel is unforgivable and I’m glad RTÉ is finally standing for what’s right.

This is such shocking and heartbreaking news. Seán was a brilliant broadcaster who had an extraordinary depth of knowledge about the arts. Thinking of all those who knew and loved him, especially his family.

Saw Kylie Minogue not once, but twice this weekend and it really was a shockwave to my brain (it’s a reference, look it up!). And to have been in the room to see Jazzi P join her on stage… truly speechless. Thank you, Kylie.

This is such a brilliant piece – it encapsulates so much of how I (and so many others) feel about the endless pursuit of productivity. I found it strangely comforting to read.

Just watched the finale of “Somebody Somewhere” and what a send off it was. I don’t think there are many TV shows that have been as consistently excellent throughout. Bitingly funny and beautifully heartfelt, it deserves a lot more attention than it’s gotten.

I watched a film this evening that is bafflingly called “Hot Frosty” on Netflix and I… legitimately laughed several times. It’s objectively bad, and yet, it’s somehow fun? Wouldn’t recommend, but also kind of would.

The vibe is already so much better here compared to Twitter (which, to be fair, wouldn't be hard!).
