A very well written and thorough argument by Henry Zimmer. He excellently portrays the importance of interagency cooperation from the local got the federal level for counter-UAS operations AND the economy of scale issue drone warfare is bringing to bear.

Continue to keep an eye on the development on unmanned boat systems becoming a more and more dominant component of smaller navies seeking to increase fleet size without increasing personnel number. Similar to the adoption of low cost ISR drones throughout the Sahel and elsewhere.

Over the past couple weeks I’ve been reading “On Grand Strategy,” by John Lewis Gaddis and, wow, what an incredible book. Despite my slow pace (life, ya know) it’s a very readable book that just slightly over 300 pages. Any strategic mind, or just someone who appreciates good literature, must read!

Cutting funding to NOAA will cost lives, mark my words. The economics (i.e. farmers, fisherman, etc who relay on this information) be damned. This will cause unnecessary human suffering. This is unbelievably wreck-less and shortsighted. #security

The erosion of truth and the push towards a post-truth society is a scare one. Fueled by systematic disinformation and encouragement towards confirmation bias as the foundation of fact will lead humanity blindly marching backwards into the future, destined to repeat the mistakes of our past.
Future historians are going to have to write: “Listen, I know you’re not going to believe me but I can assure you it really did happen.”
