Not exactly a "study shows" but we recently had to buy a mini-fridge and the box had a line like "A convenient way to keep food and drinks cold!"

No sure if this is still accurate about the details of immigration law, but the gist is still true: It is incredibly difficult for most would-be immigrants to chart a path to citizenship outside of a few narrow avenues, and even those are usually very expensive and require years of waiting.

Candy Corner: I have recently become obsessed with these. They lose their flavor in about a minute, so I can go through a bag in no time. But I only know of one store near me that stocks them, so that helps me ration them.
