Stock returns of oil majors (and oil price) jumped after Trump's latest sanctions on Russian oil firms.

That was predictable: in a new (conditionally accepted) paper at @psrm.bsky.social, @patrickbayer.bsky.social, @fgenovese.bsky.social, and I show exactly that.

Good news for European political science! Thanks for everyone involved who made this happen.

Became an EPSS member today, and so can you!

Very competitive fees that will go a long way to fund next year's conference and not just a reception ticket (some may say).

🚨Global public action (climate!) is most effective when countries do it together yet we're in a period of IO backlash rooted in left-behind places

Does it mean all left-behind regions hate IOs the same?

"A new voting system and sausage sizzles" - excellent advice from @ariadnevromen.bsky.social in @scotsman.com on what the UK and Scotland can learn from Australia's recent election - and how to turn around the low voting turn outs that have benefitted Reform UK.

Four big lessons for Scotland and UK from Australian Labor party's surprise landslide
With Reform UK benefiting from low election turnouts, more needs to be done to make it easier for people to vote – like elections on Saturdays, a new voting system and sausage sizzles

Proud to have pulled a basically accepted paper (with full consent of co-authors) from peer review today in response to questionable editorial practice to "force" us to add citations to five substantively unrelated papers that the editor was a co-author of. 🤯
